Insights from the Ghana Health Market Tour
Earlier this year, The Pathology Network (TPN) had the privilege of joining the Ghana Health Market Tour hosted by Yunik Global, in strategic partnership with the Healthcare Federation of Ghana (HFG). This powerful initiative brought together healthcare leaders, investors, and innovators to explore opportunities for impact across Ghana’s evolving health landscape.
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Yunik Global, Rivia, and the Healthcare Federation of Ghana for making this experience possible. Their leadership, coordination, and commitment to catalyzing action are already paving the way for real change.
The tour highlighted critical challenges — from infrastructure gaps to challenges with inadequate workforce— but also spotlighted practical, scalable solutions. A visit to St Joseph’s hospital in Koforidua, made possible through Rivia, brought this into sharp focus. There, we met Dr Collins, a dedicated pathologist who confirmed he routinely drives two hours to obtain a second opinion from his colleagues. It’s an all-too-common reality that delays care and adds strain to already-stretched professionals confirming the validity of TPN’s digital pathology solution.
This tour also marked a major milestone: Yunik Global signed an MOU with HFG, committing to capacity building, investment facilitation, and sector-wide advocacy. It’s the kind of partnership that signals lasting impact.
